Description

Randy Emberlin has the unfortunate circumstance of having come into the field when I was finishing college. There were exams and papers and all kinds of crap going on that, now, when I see his name, I feel like I did back then (which is terrible). Mark Bagley, Larry Stroman and a few others share this feeling for me. I have always loved his work, but have avoided him at conventions because of my history. I saw him at the Tacoma show and thought I should, at least, tell him that I did always like his art. He and his wife are two of the finest people I've met in the comics field (granted, I've only met people at conventions and shows, so they may not always be putting on their best face). I was so taken with how nice and personable he is that getting a sketch was a given. He totally turned me around and I appreciate his attention to detail in this piece. His wife mentioned that she like the Doctor's eyes and I have to agree. They are the windows to the soul, after all, and if a fictional character can have a soul, Randy Emberlin gives one to Dr. Strange. Now I cant' wait to meet Bagley and Stroman.
