I was so impressed by how well the Icarus commission came out that I decided to go back and purchase another piece from Kaileigh.

Originally I was going to go with Lightning Lad but, after learning about how Avengers Arena ended I switched and went with Darkhawk who, I will admit, I did not become interested in fully until last month. I managed to snag Darkhawk Classic Vol.1 at my store while the trades were on sale so that helped. I also met Danny Fingeroth at NYCC and asked if he knew what was going on with Chris Powell in Arena. Should probably let him know he's still alive.

Anyway, the reason I was hesitant to get Chris in the first place was because I wanted to see if he was going to survive or not because that tied into the reasoning behind the setting. I would've liked to imagine Chris had decided to take some time off to get his thoughts in order and relax after that idiot Arcade's whole Murderworld business and, as you can see, put on a couple of pounds from taking it easy. It's the same mindset I had for those two Tempest pieces I currently own.

Again I'm overjoyed with the work Kaileigh put into this and that she wasn't thrown off by my switching characters.
