Alex Ross Ki

Purchased this at Wizard World in L.A. It was a bargain, a fully realized, full body, attractive female by a real legend. It has extensive notes, presumably by Ross, a minus if you just want a pretty picture but a plus as an insight into the creative process. This was done on regular letter-sized paper, a sheet that had been in a plain paper fax on 12/1/99. The slightly grey line in the middle is on the original, presumably from the machine. According to Sal at alexross.com, that was one of Alex's original characters for Paradise X.
If you pick up any books in the series you'll see her in a team of super heroes called the xen. Since Paradise X the Xen came out in 2002, I presume this picture was done no earlier than 2001. I have not seen the comic, but from the cover scans, it appears this character ended up very close to, but not exactly like this sketch.
