DescriptionAs a huge fan of John Byrne's definitive run on the X-Men and his own creation Alpha Flight, Weapon Alpha’s first appearance in the pages of Uncanny X-Men #109 has always held a special place in my heart. I purchased Byrne's original art for page 16 from that issue a number of years back from a fellow collector and it is definitely one of the cornerstones of my original art collection. The art is fantastic and really showcases the wide dynamic range of Byrne's talent with Wolverine quietly emerging from the shadows as he stalks a deer at the beginning of the page to the incredible kinetic energy of Weapon Alpha's appearance in the final panel that practically jumps off the page. Hi James - you know how I feel about this page - it made such a fantastic sequence with the page following when I had them on my wall. Nice to see it again. From the first X-men comic I ever picked up off the stand and this page sure did help to get me hooked on Byrne/Austin!

I was a fool to not buy both pages when you gave me the opportunity to do so, since they really did belong together. But, I couldn't be happier to have this one and I'm grateful to you for selling it to me. Happy collecting!

This one stops CAF surfing right in its tracks. Probably one of Byrne's top 5 pages ever.

My delinquency and tardiness knows no bounds for a proper post. How have I not commented on this page since you first posted it in 2014? Truancy, just darn truancy. This is such an iconic page, especially with the bottom panel. From a fellow Byrne collector, please accept my most humble apologies for not congratulating you on such a tremendous page.
