Description

30x40 Oil on Masonite

Used as the box cover of the upcoming Battle of Five Armies board game by Ares Games.

This piece won the Chesley Award for Best Gaming Related Illustration at the 2014 Chesley Awards (for art created in 2013). It was also published in Spectrum 21 and Infected by Art volume 2.

Lucas Graciano posted on Facebook that this painting also appears in a feature in the extended Hobbit Battle of Five Armies DVD/Blu-Ray set. 4 minutes and 20 seconds into The Appendices Part 12 - "Here at Journey's End".
