Description

When I originally contacted Alex Garcia for this commission my intent was to use this group shot as a cover recreation for Nova #24,which introduced The New Champions(Nova,Powerhouse,The Comet,CrimeBuster and a very reluctant Diamondhead). I thought the background(including this super cool Sphinx cosmic head shot),was so good I am going to leave this as a pin-up. Nova #24 was the issue that brought the group together who would later continue on to issues of the Fantastic Four and Rom after Nova's own book was cancelled.

Alex did a super job bringing this group back to life(literally,as all members of the group,with the exception of Nova, were slain by Nebula on her attack of the Xandarian homeworld. I particularly like the grimace on Diamondhead and CrimeBusters Rope Gun.

My thanks to Alex. I do plan on having this colored. Hope no one minded the Nova history lesson.

After seeing some of the work he has done for you in the past I had to commission Alex myself Aidan.Had to give him some references for the other characters being they were not Legion characters.

Thank you for the history lesson there were two characters in there I did not recognize.
