Description

Fusain pour la planche 63 de l'album "Nuit de Fureur", publié en 2008 aux éditions Casterman dans la collection Rivages/Casterman/Noir.

Cet album est tiré du roman du même nom de Jim Thompson. Une histoire d'une noirceur absolue, l'une des plus désespérées écrites par cet écrivain majeur du polar américain.

La planche présente le personnage principal, tueur à gage à l'apparence juvénile, à l'esprit sombre et tourmenté, pour ne pas dire plus, en dépit -et à cause- de ses faciles conquêtes féminines.

Un superbe jeu d'ombres et de lumières, d'une grande élégance et finesse. Pour moi la planche la plus réussie de cet album de très bonne facture.

Tout cela finira très mal, comme il se doit dans les romans de Thompson.

Signée au crayon.

I have never seen this artist before but very cool art. The top tier and the middle panel are fantastic.
