Description
Private commission, and a very disappointing experience despite being an absolutely gorgeous piece of art. My tale of woe can be seen at these links:

Also included in the auxilary images is a copy of the bare-bones inked version Emberlin's selling as a print, along with a long Post-It note rebuttal to Byron Hamm's concerns about his conduct.

While this looks absolutely glorious, I won't ever be commissioning Emberlin again after this.

it IS a really beautiful piece... at least that part should always make you smile

Actually, his inking doesn't even seem to make any sense. The way he inked it indicates that there is a light source hitting him from behind, another light source hitting him directly from the front, and possibly even one hitting him from his left side. Unless this scene takes place on an earth "mirror planet" which has multiple suns, there are even more important reasons not to pay Emberlin to ink something. Sorry to hear about your trouble with him, Reid.

I'm very sorry that you had to deal with all of these unnecessary problems. The piece does look beautiful though. I actually just received my first inking commission from Dexter Vines (over a penciled Superman/Batman pinup by Ed McGuinness) and thankfully everything went as planned. I hope that your future inking commissions go smoothly.
