I've so been impressed with the commission work Scott's been doing that I thought he'd be the perfect artist for an idea that I've had rattlin' round my head for a while. I've always enjoyed the idea of Marvel / DC cross-overs but sometimes you just can't make the characters match up. (and my "you" I mean "me") In this case, though, the Fatal Five coming through the barrier via one of Reed's experiments just seems to fit perfectly. The Five've taken out Blastaar and Annihilus and now they've set their sites on Earth-616! Based around George Perez's FF cover for 186. Some really nice work by Scott and I wish you could see who cool Tharok's face is at this resolution but, alas :(

Off it went next to Chris Ivy for some of his masterful lettering work. Chris never lets me down and I couldn't offer any higher recommendation. Penciller, letterer, colorist. Dude does it all!

And full props to my buddy Mike for coming up with the name for the issue. Totally blanking on what to call it :)

Man! I Just love this stuff! Great execution from Scott! The Thing and Reed have some Sinnott going on! Alternate title: "Death From Beyond The Barrier"(had to add my $.02). Another classic here Kevin!

Actually, the first thing I thought when I saw this was, "Did Kevin have to clear this with Aidan first?" But seriously, it is both a clever idea and nice homage to the Pérez-era FF covers.
