I just love this series. And in case you have never seen it, Wiley Miller really invented the flexible format strip, where a newspaper could crop the cartoon in one of two ways, depending on the desired aspect ratio.

That's really cool regarding the flexible format... at first I was like, what gives it's just the same word bubble but once I read you're description the light bulb came on and I can see it in both formats. Thx for sharing! Loved this strip!
