Description

The history of this piece appears in the IDW 2023 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate B&W Collection Vol. 7 - All the covers and development art from the earliest days of Mirage Studios in one archival collection with notes from co-creator Kevin Eastman."

We learn in the book that this piece was one of the inked concept covers used in developing the 1987 TMNT Collection (Vol 3) - picture included in the Additional Images.

Let's call this a "published" piece for this reason, shall we?
