Stan Goldberg began his storied comic book career in 1949 at the the age of 16, and in the 60+ years since, he has drawn some of the most iconic comic book characters that have become part of the American fabric.

Recently Stan created this beautifully executed piece as a homage to all those characters. It measures 11 x 17 inches and is rendered in pen and ink and mixed media on heavyweight Bristol paper. Accompanying this piece is a guide that matches the names to the characters.

Stan Goldberg has been one of the top comic book illustrators for over 6 decade and was the recipient of the prestigious Gold Key Award presented by the National The Gold Key, awarded by unanimous vote of the NCS Board of Directors, honors the recipient as a member of the NCS Hall of Fame. Stan’s career has spanned over colorist for Timely (Marvel) Comics in 1949, where he helped establish the color designs for characters like Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four. His work for Archie Comics excellent comic storytelling for almost half a century.
