Description
I love the Romita Spider-Man issues so I was thrilled to get Mark Bagley to agree to do a One Minute Later of Amazing Spider-Man #46 featuring the first appearance of the Shocker! Joe Rubinstein jumped on for his amazing inks. And, for those who might be eagle-eyed, yes, the corner box is a scan of the John Romita corner box that John Romita penciled and inked for me for the OML he did with John Jr.

The real shocker is that you managed to talk Mark Bagley into doing a full-blown commission. (You catch more spiders with kind words and Benjamins than with kind words alone.) It's not a shock, however, that it turned out superbly, given the magnitude of the two artists involved. Congrats!

Forget clones, costume changes ,Superior Spiderman's and all the twists & turns ...this is the best way to draw the classic wall crawler ! Wow!

That is fantastic. I always loved Shocker. Bravo.

I think in terms of animation I loved the first fight between these two in both Alien Costume Part 2 (Spider-Man: The Animated Series 1994) and that episode in Spectacular Spider-Man the best. Comics wise, Romita's cover and the Bags-Rubenstein collab are top-notch!

Marvel really should use Joe more often, his inks make mark's impressive pencils jump off the page. This is a really great OML, it embodies the specificity of your concept, one minute later something happens, in this case; Shocker captured, Spidey triumphant.

This one begs for a 30 second later prequel, I'd love to see the moment that the shocker "conceded."
