Description

I've been meaning to get something from Alex Saviuk for a couple of years now, and because a friend of mine always gets speedsters from him I decided to focus on lesser known speedster characters. Since I was only at Boston for one day I decided a head sketch would be best, and this made more sense because Ajita's clothing has lots of ribbons and tears in it.

Ajita is from Gail Simone's "Welcome to Tranquility" series. She's the granddaughter of a 1940s speedster hero named Slapjack. She's part of a group of kid superheroes who were also child celebrities, but unfortunately their celebrity status kind of ate them all up, and she suffered the worse from being turned down from acting parts because she's too old (she's SIXTEEN) and a harpy of a stage mom ordering her to read scripture to make her stop growing.

I got Gail to sign the sketch when it was finished since she was at the show.
