Description

On Thursday at SDCC, I finished the Lovely signing at 4:15 and dashed back to my brother's Stuart Ng Books booth #5012 for the Tomm Moore and Paul Young 5:30-7 pm signing. In line, I met a fan who also bought some Tomm Moore commissions, but one wasn't signed. After he showed me his, I brought mine out to show him. So I had mine in hand when I met Tomm and showed him the Aisling and wolves painting. He was very happy to see it and took my picture holding the piece. Tomm drew Pangur Ban and Paul drew a self-portrait.

After that, I helped manage the growing line. Fortunately, we had a 20-foot wide aisle on one side. To prevent crowding the other booths, we followed the examples we had seen and ran the line down the middle of the wide aisle. When the line extended past the 20-foot width of two booths, we kept a 10-foot gap to allow room for aisle 4900. Con staff came by and were happy. On Friday and Saturday, the line formed up and we had to open another gap over the 4800 aisle. Furthermore, one day, there were dual lines with Fiona Staples signing at Jason's Essential Sequentials booth #4807. I do think we kept the line orderly. Jamie Kezlarian Bolio, the US representative for the Irish studio, included some photos in her Cartoon Saloon hits Socal blog post.
