Description
'Silently circling the rim of our Galaxy, this strange craft was discovered by an unmanned probe on its way to Andromeda. The probe was left to accompany the empty ship, and to watch for any beings returning to claim it....'.

I first came across this art many years ago, when i received the T.T.A 'Spacewreck' book as a Christmas present in 1979. (Though this piece was painted in 1973, and had originally been used as the cover for the Thomas Disch novel '334').

The stories, and many of the images used within, really captured my imagination, and became instant favorites, and they remain so today.
So you can imagine just how pleased i was to find that Tony Roberts still had art for sale that was used in this book (along with others used in later T.T.A books).

So yes, i'm absolutely over the Moon to now own this, and to see the art first hand is pretty mind-blowing.

100% Grail - and one to treasure!

For the uninitiated, the Terran Trade Authority (T.T.A) handbooks were released in the late 70's, and early 80's. First in the UK, and then elsewhere in the world.
There was four books in total, and these were written by Stewart Cowley. The art though, had largely been previously published, before being re-used for the T.T.A books.

A great piece, Iain - and a nice piece of history... Those TTA books cast a long shadow and are so fondly remembered by so many.
