Description

Figaro, named after the cat in Pinocchio, was the finest kitty anyone could want. He was tuxedo, dog-cat.

He waited in the window until I came home and met me at the door; yes, even when he'd been fed.

He wasn't very good outside. Once he slipped past Alex at night and Alex didn't notice. Figgy was scared stiff and hid behind the garbage cans. Another time, he slipped out and we couldn't find him for days. Finally, my daughter Rebecca found him by our neighborhood park and the two of us gathered him up. He seemed to be in shock, but had no injuries.

He was the most cuddly and relaxed cat, too. You could pick him up and toss him around and he'd just purr.

A good cat and we miss him.

This drawing was done for my birthday by Alisa Harris as part of a Kickstarter for her book Counter Attacks. The book has run a little late, but she delivered the picture in time for my birthday (much to the relief of my husband!). Also, you can read a nice review of the book here.

What an adorable sketch! Alisa is such a great artist. And I second the recommendation to pick up her book Counter Attack.
