Description
The following is taken from the Political Cartoon Gallery website:

Waite, Keith (1927 - 2014)

Keith Waite worked as an ‘entertainer’, as he categorised cartoonists for over 45 years. Born in New Zealand he came to London in 1951, a move he described as “a total leap into the darkness”. After freelancing for the Daily Sketch, Punch and Men Only as a topical gag cartoonist, Waite became the Daily Sketch’s chief political cartoonist in 1957 replacing Ian Scott. In 1966 Waite worked for the Sun, then moved on to Mirror newspapers drawing cartoons with a stronger political content. Leaving the Mirror group in 1985 he rounded off his career as a business cartoonist for The Times, a post he held from 1987 to 1997.

The cartoon pictures a man and animals eating on the front lawn of a suburban family. The tearsheet (pictured below) shows the caption: "Isn't that the farmer whose land we picnicked on yesterday?" Lovely work, in the Carl Giles vein.
