Kirby: Genesis Silver Star Issue 02 - Page 21

I have to admit that of all that was Kirby:Genesis Silver Star was my least favorite. Not knocking either writer or artist but, having also read the old Topps Comics version, I do find myself wondering if SS is just one of those characters that only Kirby himself "got". Being somewhere between Captain Atom and Captain America seems to be a hard fit. What I did find cool about the K:G series, though, was the Iron Grid. The series first villains were animals that had gone through the same process that made Silver Star super-human. How wonderfully High Evolutionary :)

I was lucky enough that Johnny still had a number of pages from the series and was very delighted to find that the first reveal of the Grid were among them. A great fight scene between Silver Star and the Grid. Always cool to see the cosmically powered folks just duking it out like this. Why alter reality when you can just punch someone in the face ;)
