Description

This is what RK told me about this painting. The assignment came from a well known Magic player Mike Long. He was working in tandem with a Japanese distributer of gaming supplies to produce a series of Magic deck boxes with new original art. The intent was to make an image that vaguely referenced a copyrighted Magic image without being plagaristic. This one eluded to a card created for the Urza's Saga expansion, Morphling.
