Description

Last year Michael Dooney was kind enough to do a Harvey Black Cat for me. We exchanged emails shortly afterwards about the possibility of doing a new character for me in 2014.

Michael sent me a scan of a Liberty Belle commission he had done for someone else and there was little doubt the Heroes Con request would be the character Roy Thomas brought back from limbo and revitalized in the late, lamented All Star Squadron.

Unfortunately, we were not able to get to Heroes this year, so I was delighted to see Micheal's name on the Baltimore guest list.

A quick email later and we had the arrangement all set up for a pick up at Baltimore.

The only question regarding the commission was whihc version of Liberty Belle to use? during Roy's run on All Star Squadron, a variety of artists came up with three different versions of Libby's uniform.

With cape, without cape(the cape was short lived.) Captain America boots vs riding boots, two different versions of her pants. So I left it up to Michael, I sent him reference for all interpretations of Libby's uniform and asked hm to pick the version that most appealed to him.

I think you'll agree that when it comes to female heroes, Michael hit this out of nearby Camden Yard.
