Nice! I eyeballed this one when it went on sale. I must of read this issue 30 times as a kid and I'm glad you're the one who owns it.

Congrats! This title page is better than the cover. But not as good as Nth Man.

as nice a Dracula page as I have ever seen. I also remember seeing this for sale, glad it has found a good home.

That is a hell of a splash, superior in many ways. Further, there is something about the way that Colan & Palmer depicted man or monster against the raging elements of nature that always captured my attention.

Incredible intro page from this superb series, this should definetly be in my collection as the superb predecessor to my own #21 title Drac splash from this highly memorable storyline with dredded Dr.Sun :)

Classic and iconic.  Not to mention, gorgeous.  Only Colan and Palmer could make a horror book look so beautiful.

Quintessential Colan Dracula.  He had a way of making it look as though he were almost a wisp of ethereal matter that might blow away on the wind at any moment.  This is a gorgeous piece on Marvel bronze-age magic.

If you count undead as dead, as you have to die in order to reach that state, the guys in the helicopter are not that smart, which might explain how they fail to end Dracula so often. Who said comics do not make you think? Fantastic artwork by one of my favorite artists.

Pulse-pounding action on this title splash to Tomb of Dracula by Gene Colan and Tom Palmer. We see Dracula running through the snow on the slopes of the Transylvanian Alps while a sniper pursues him in a helicopter, firing wooden bullets at the fleeing vampire. Gorgeously penciled by the great Gene Colan and masterfully inked by the equally great, Tom Palmer. I love the way Colan used the massive cape of the vampire to suggest his haste in trying to avoid being killed. Splashes of snow where bullets hit suggest just how close the hunter is getting to his prey. Marvelous splash page by two masters of comic art! Great pick-up!
