Wow, this is incredible. I also think of this specific image when I think of Big John. It has been burned into my mind since I first bought the book in the early 1980's. Congrats!!!

This might be my favorite image from the book. I liked it so much I inked a blue line reproduction of it a few years ago. Good stuff.

It's not even the musculature or those eyebrows but the work on the seaweed and rock that get me.
