Description

This painting really caught my eye when i first saw it posted on CAF last year. I loved how Tony incorporated the bugle & villain symbols (Hobgoblin, Scorpion, Black Cat, Rhino, Doctor Octopus, Kingpin, Green Goblin, Lizard, Vulture, Electro, & Mysterio) into the arch.

I was just informed that Marvel turned this commission into a Variant Cover.

I was wondering if this would be the same Harris Spider-Man that graced Alex's gallery when I saw the link in my CAF daily search results mail. Truth be told, I was kinda hoping it was a different piece. Harris had done such a great job on this one, I wondered how he would tackle the character anew; but then again, how do you improve on perfection!? This piece is truly Amazing! I too love the way Tony incorporated Spidey's villains, and his place of employment, through the various symbols, rather than going the more traditional route of depicting the actual characters. There are also some really nice textures going on... lovely, just lovely! Congrats and thanks for sharing! I was due to look at this beauty again!

Absolutely incredible Spider-Man commission! Gorgeously laid out and masterfully painted by Tony Harris! It's a stunning piece on so many levels!
