Stuart Sayger - Professor Hugo Strange

This is a commission that I talked with Stuart about during the 2014 Big Wow and received at the 2014 SSDC. Stuart's take on Professor Strange is from the Post Crises storyline when Hugo is having a breakdown confusing himself with being the Batman. Stuart puts us in the position of Hugo looking at himself imagining himself as Batman. There are lots of clear imagery, but he also throws in a lot of subtle hints like the cowl over his right forehead and his shirt with hints of Batman's top.

The abstract portion of Stuart's artist style really allows him to visually portray the emotions and angst of each character he draws/paints. He is also very a nice guy which really helps me communicate what I am looking for. Definitely someone to look for if you want something different from the usual commission.
