Description

I first met Richard Cox on the comicart-l. Later, when Kathy and I went to our first Heroes Con, I made sure that I went by his both to introduce myself and - as it turned out - win something for getting my picture taken with him. We hit it off especially when he showed Kathy his very nice Kirby Cap page which features pretty much everything Kirby, e.g., weapons, technology, crackel, and Cap (albeit out of uniform). I think Kathy really got why people like Jack's work so much.

Anyway, as time passed, I really came to like his work and I decided that he could do a magnificent Maleficent. Why Maleficent, well, Kathy loves her Disney villainesses and Maleficent is her favorite.

Richard took on the challenge and knocked it out of the park. Kathy was thrilled with the piece and it combined with a few other items made for a Merry Christmas.

P.S. The Additional Images below show Richard's process. He gave me 5 preliminary drawings for review and discussion and then built on the one one that I chose. He was very easy to work with. He kept me fully informed and met his committed dates. A pleasure.
