Description

Maybe a word about the commission process. Every reader of Fables have been striken by the quality of Lan Medina's art, and so I have. I could say I have been even more impressed by some of his commissions posted on this site or on his profile page on Comic Con Art. Here goes the human weakness as I convinced myself I needed a piece of my own.

Deciding the subject of the theme was not so difficult. I could have gone for another Fables theme, but instead, I opted for my all-time favorite character : John Constantine. Because I'm not an original man, I wanted some kind of a recreation of some wonderful pieces that have been posted on CAF, so I added his perfect soulmate in the person of Zatanna. The rest of the composition, well... it's a bit personal but the symbolism isn't that hard to guess.

About the result, each art amateur will of course make his own opinion. From my point of view, this is quite a piece actually. Lan's pencils are once more pure magic and the atmosphere expressed by the drawing is very nice.

I have to adress some special thanks to Court from Comic Con Art. The man has been such a help from day 1. You couldn't ask for a safest rep. I will definitely come back to him in the future.
