Description

a 1960's two pager from drag car-toons, featuring a little orphan annie parody. dahlstrom's ink work reeks from my childhood memories of sunday comic ads in the la times in the late 60's. his line work has that wonderful schizophrenic-meets-doodle or meandering lines. i remember the style for flair pens and jolly green giant ads. dahlstrom still works in advertising, and still does storyboards, etc.

Dahlstrom is an unsung comic genius! It's tragic that he went on to a successful commercial art career instead of freaking out and joining the underground like his label-mate Gilbert Shelton. His style is brilliant for subversive material.
