Description

The late Brian Lewis was a hugely talented comics artist, and I was delighted when he agreed to design the cover for the first issue of Astron, published in the autumn of 1977. What I didn't know then was that Brian was also working on the wraparound cover painting for the first edition of the British prozine Starburst, released to coincide with the UK release of Star Wars. No prizes for guessing where certain of the elements here were borrowed from.

What a great cover... I don't know what you mean about the Star Wars references though, can't see nary a one....!
