In Celebration of Gay Pride Month and Gay Pride weekend in my beloved city of Los Angeles, I am posting artwork of new LGBT characters in comics and their own “Coming Out” so to speak.

A LGBT person’s Coming Out story is in many ways like the Origin story of any comic book character. Our Coming Out represents our rebirth and overcoming many obstacles to accepting and loving who we are (minus the superpowers, unless you count being fabulous as a superpower).

Catwoman is hardly new and her love with Batman is canon but I love that the current writer felt it was organic for Selina Kyle to find her current love interest in Eiko Hasigawa, the current Catwoman.

Even Eiko asks Selina was that kiss for me or the suit? So the visual is quite interesting seeing Selina Kyle-now a mob boss-kissing Catwoman.

I quote RuPaul “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you going to love someone else? Can I get an A-men”
