Description
The Quality Comics heroine was almost revived to become a Freedom Fighter in the 1970's, but DC Comics already had a "Wildfire" in The Legion of Superheroes, so they passed on using the 1940's heroine of that name. I think she's pretty cool for a hot character, and Ramona Fradon did a great job. The orange/yellow color scheme was my request. It was used for the character on a cover of "Men of Mystery" (AC Comics) and I prefer it to the red costume and brown hair of the character's 1940's appearances. There is a "Wildfire" archives with every Golden Age appearance of the character, published by "Heaven 4 Heroes," a very enjoyable collection.

I saw this on Catskills website. Just didn't recognize the character. Great choice having Ramona do this one!

Thanks,Rob. I think Ramona's art is golden, especially on Golden Age and Silver Age characters.
