Description

Larry Whittington was a cartoonist with the Press Publishing Company, the syndicate of the New York Evening World, in the 1920s. In 1922, he created the newspaper comic about the young girl 'Fritzi Ritz'. By 1925, he moved over to King Features to create another comic, the shortlived feature 'Maizie the Model'. 'Fritzi Ritz' was handed over to Ernie Bushmiller, who brought it to great fame when he added Fritzi's niece 'Nancy' to the cast.
