Description

This is my first ever sketch from Jan Duursema, as it was my first time meeting her, and she was wonderful.

Rosa-Beatrice is not a character so much as she is a concept. In the Umineko fandom, she represents the theory that Rosa Ushiromiya is the actual human culprit behind the murders that occurred on October 4th and 5th of 1986. However, the theory contradicts several things explicitly stated by the author and has led to several nasty flame wars. The theory was eventual disproved when the Umineko manga revealed the identity of the true culprit.

However, there's a lot of fan art and designs of Rosa as a witch, and they're pretty amazing. I really would like to find out the name of the artist that designed this outfit so I can properly credit them.

Jan worked on this all weekend, and it clearly shows how much effort and care she put into it. She took it home with her so she could have a chance to learn more about Rosa and get a better feel for her character. It was cool talking to an old school pro about Umineko for a little bit.
