Mervyn Pumpkinhead by David Hitchcock inside his Black Book sketchbook

I love David's art, and when I saw he was selling 100 copies of his new sketchbook...with original art inside...I jumped! JUMPED! His Mervyn is awesome. Look at the colors, the tough Mervyn face, overalls (and he has a shadow!)...dig it. He captured him perfectly as he takes a bit of a break from working in the Dreaming. Us worker bees gotta stick together.

I also am showing a few of my favorite pages from inside the book...as bad as my photos can be, don't do the book justice, it is really, really cool. From Springheeled Jack to Jack the Ripper to Sandman to Batman to Hellboy to DD, etc.! Can't go wrong.

One of the Springheeled Jack pieces you can see in my gallery, as it is painted inside a hardcover copy of his awesome Springheeled Jack story in my bookcase. :)
