DescriptionI've not seen much information on James Trembath although he was a fairly prolific illustrator during the 20s and 30s, contributing numerous cartoons and illustrations to Collier's and the Saturday Evening Post as well as providing cover art for Judge, Peek and Ballyhoo. This particular example of Trembath's Judge covers, from an issue dated September 27, 1930, depicts high society glamour and Asian-influenced art nouveau styling. I got into a bit of a bidding war on this one that drove the price up a lot more than I was anticipating, but in the end I think it was worth it.Social/Sharing |
