Description

After years of trying, I finally received an original sketch from Ronald Searle in 2009. I had met Searle's retired art agent, John Locke in Connecticut, and invoking Locke's name, as well as sending the letter directly to the post office of the small village in the south of France where Searle lived, seemed to do the trick.
