Description"Sub-Mariner #8 holds a very special place in my heart and memory - if that doesn't seem like an odd phrase to use in conjunction with a comic book story. John did an even more fantastic job on the art than usual - and that's saying something..."--Roy Thomas, 2009 Thanks R.! Social/Sharing |

Congrats on a Great Buscema Sub-Mariner page. The center panel puts the whole page together. Incredible inks by Adkins. Top Notch stuff.

Maybe the most beautiful page of art I've seen recently--wow. Buscema was just incredible, and Adkins' inks are perfect on this page--so elegant.

My 2nd favorite Buscema issue (#20 is #1) and Adkins was one of his top inkers. Congrats.

A grand old classic! I love the aura of majesty John Buscema gives to all the characters, as if it percolates from Namor!...

Wow--An early John Buscema Submariner page! Love his tight style here. He renders everything beautifully. He has always been an artist of extraordinary talent. I especially love the final panel, in which Namor remembers his younger days, flying over the city vowing vengence on the human race!
