Art Young - LIFE Magazine Political Cartoon - c.1920

Art Young did so much powerful political cartoon work in the early part of the last century. Most all of what he drew took a decidedly left-of-center slant, which is perfectly fine by me. In this piece, which appeared in Life magazine, Young depicts the taxpayers of the United States dancing with "Governmental Extravagance". He has titled the piece, "The Non-Stop Dancer Who Holds All Records". Some things simply never change, even nearly 100 years later. The piece was gifted to fellow cartoonist G.T. Maxwell at some point.
