Steve Ditko letter response...read this!

Okay, Mr Ditko, we all respect him, we've all heard various stories about his supposed good/bad disposition. He's a very private guy, and proclaims an Objectivist philosophy. So art is not subjective, in his opinion, I'd assume. I had a simple question for him. I have noticed through years of looking at his art, that he portrays these fantastic, large, eyes, quite often. I cannot be the only one to have noticed this. He did it in fantasy and horror books, Spider Man, Indiana Jones, etc. etc. My question was basically "Are you trying to convey some thought, like say 'the eyes are the window to the soul' "? This is his concise response.
