Description

When Phil Hester put out a call for commissions in 2014 I jumped at the chance to have him do a Kurt Russell for me. I don't remember if he picked The Thing or if I did, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. He uses shadow so well, and it really makes the snow and steam from the flamethrower pop.

That may be the best commission I've ever seen from Phil Hester. What a fantastic piece. He's clearly a fan of this classic flick (me, too!).
