I met Chuck BB through friends at ONI and got a chance to interview him for a podcast when the first volume of Black Metal came out. We talked at SDCC shortly after that and I mentioned the idea of a Kurt Russell commission to him. I suggested an Escape From New York piece, and he suggested something from The Thing. In the end he decided to combine the two, pitting Snake Plissken against the Norris Thing spider head!
