Description

A lot of my commissions are from The Dark Knight Returns, & I knew that James would provide a really interesting interpretation. I got this 9x12 piece from James at ECCC 2016. I loved that he used Zip A Tone to add texture and shading to the suit, and also the inclusion of just enough background details to make clear that Batman was at the iconic location know as "The Pipe"! I think James killed it! Like the pro that he is, he also did a thumbnail sketch beforehand, which I took a photo of (see below). Thanks to James, and to Felix Lu for setting it up!
