The Adventures of Superhero Girl by Faith Erin Hicks is a hoot.
A young woman, the sister of a great hero, has come into her own powers and decides to strike out on her own defending a town from crime. It's quite clever. The art is fresh and expressive. The stories (1 page vignettes) are snappy and effective.
I like this page because it juxtaposes the violence of the break in with the mundane nature of a phone call. I also like how she plays with the trope of superheroes fighting each other instead of a bad guy. Superhero Girl had been seen wearing a hoody and everyone assumes that she's turned evil.
Good stuff.
P.S., You can read it in B&W
