NEW 52 ACTION COMICS #28 3D shadowbox paper sculpture 2015

This 3D paper sculpture of NEW 52 ACTION COMICS cover was made in 2014 for my own interest and a potential client who did not come through. Original art is by Aaron Kuder. I did show him the unframed 3D at WONDERCON in Anaheim 2014.

I had planed to just use original covers for the whole 3D, but hte high gloos finish to the cover did not work with whatever glue I used. I then used about 20 laser scan print copies to build up the 3D and used actual glossy original ocvers on the top layers. Project took about 25 hours.

In 2018 this was donated to the Super Museum in Metropolis, IL
