Description
Farlaine the Goblin is the lead character in a series of books about his quest to find a forest that he can tend. The author is anonymous, but I'll refer to him using his pen name, Pug Grumble. Here’s an interesting interview.

I supported the Kickstarter and opted to have the first pick of the art offered from Book 4: The Twistlands. Art from the books has never been offered for sale so it's very cool to me to have the first choice.

As I was working the details with Pug, I realized he was from the Boston area. I explained that I go to Foxboro almost every month and he agreed to meet me for dinner at a local sandwich shop on my next trip which was this past Monday (25 April 2016).

We each agreed to bring portfolios of art. Like me, his best pieces are framed and hanging on his walls, but we both had enough that we could bring easily to lead to a good conversation after dinner.

He also surprised me with my perk - the choice of the first pieces of Farlaine art to reach the market.

We discussed the virtues of each piece (as I had done with Kathy before the trip) and we settled on page 29 of the published book It's labeled page 30 because pages 7 and 8 were combined to make one and speed up the story prior to publication.

I like this piece because it has a lot of story telling and some beautiful inking - look at it.

Great story. I haven't read Farlaine, but I might have to go look for a copy now!
