DescriptionAs a part of working out plots for the Crusaders All-New Adventures covers I, as all good geeks do, started compiling lists of all Archie's super heroes. You wouldn't know it by looking at the 80's or any of the newer series but they actually have a whole mess of characters. Once I started to play around with the idea of another series to spotlight Archie's smaller heroes the concept of a team-up series made a lot of sense. Since the Jaguar's secret identity has him traveling the world as an archaeologist it seemed a perfect fit.Emmanuel Javier is a great artist I stumbled across over on deviantArt. I'd wanted to get something from him for the longest time but he was always busy. When he did open up his commission list and he and I started talking the whole thing ended up with Emmanuel agreeing to do a series of covers, like David Bednarski did. From the moment I saw the pencils for this one I knew it'd be great. The layout on this thing is all kinds of awesome. That's some great writhing in agony! And, as appears to be Emmanuel's standard, the background's gloriously detailed. Another winner! As always, I hope Crusaders fans approve :) Original size 11x17 ------- In This Issue ... The Jaguar finds himself standing side by side with Lancelot Strong, the Modern-Age Shield, as he sets out to get revenge against Doctor Evil. As revealed in Mighty Crusaders #28, Doctor Evil had saved Strong's life in return for his help in defeating rebels who were challenging Evil's future kingdom. But now Strong, with access to Dr. Burris's time machine, has decided that the time has come to set things right. Can our heroes defeat Evil's armies? Emmanuel continues to impress! The characters look great, and the background is very impressive!
