Let me begin by saying I love the TASKMASTER! I remember Avengers #197 being passed around our 7th grade class upon it's release, all of us wowing each other at GEORGE PEREZ's master creation. As time wore on, I really took to the unintended campiness of the character. Here's a guy skilled in every fighting technique available but would prefer to run. Then he's armed with every weapon I can think of...and he wears a big flowing cape?! Top it off with that skull face and the fact that despite his skill and weaponry, he still carries a gun... just in case. This guys great! I used PEREZ's cover for referance, switched up a coupla' things just because, and went with a real cartoony flair to capture the foolishness and impracticality of the character! Most will probably hate it, but I really enjoy this piece.
