Description

OK, so I know this doesn’t exactly fit my theme but hear me out. At Kawaii Kon 2013 I was talking with my artist friend Jon Murakami (he’s represented in my gallery), and we started talking about various artists in the state. So he mentioned Cash Donovan who was not at the con but occasionally would hang out with them and does an older style of art. He came walking by so I tried asking him to do something Hawaii-themed for me. He’s a bit of an eccentric guy, so we talked about all sorts of things and I left a sheet of Bristol for him to use. He returned the next day and gave me this. Unfortunately it appears he forgot about my Hawaiian theme, but it’s an amazing piece nonetheless and I wanted to share it anyway. If I bump into him again in the future I may take another shot at getting him to do another piece, this time hopefully fitting my theme.
