Description

The back of this painting is very clearly marked "sketch only", but it looks pretty close to a finished product to me! I don't know much about this particular sketch or whether it ever made it to a finished print, but it has a very similar cowboy theme to another piece I have on here which he painted under his "Sedona" monikor. One of the techniques that Hawley uses in a few of his paintings such as this one is a sort of trompe l'oeil, where certain elements (e.g. the animal tails) seem to come out of the painting.
