SILVER SURFER #4 3D shadowbox paper sculpture for Sam Tsolumas 2016

Published by Marvel Comics 1969

This 3D paper sculpture of the classic SILVER SURFER #4 cover by John Romita from 1969 was commissioned by client Sam Tsoumas of Montreal Canada in May 2016. It took about 25 hours using color laser prints of a digital image to make over the past month.

I did this cover once before in 3D for a client long ago in 1976 using Color Xerox copies. I was pleased to be able to do it again giving the image more depth and detail. It has also been a cover requested by a number of fans to see what I could do with it in 3D.
